Antonia Lofaso's food can be a way to investigate what lies within her. Food she cooks up is the result of her curiosity about the culture that is Los Angeles, which was inspired by a visit from Long Island to Los Angeles from Long Island's suburbs. Carnitas and Cavatellis within the same menu is her belief. The dishes she serves share a single concept, that is embracing the moment and reminiscing on the previous. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso, who is inspired from her Italian American roots. The restaurant was greeted with the warmest welcome. Lofaso's take on old-school Italian has been called among Los Angeles' most compelling Italian restaurants. Lofaso is described by many as a local favorite who consistently delivers food that's authentic, delicious and welcoming. Lofaso apprenticed under culinary legends and absorbed their sophisticate techniques but she was not afraid to take extraordinary risks to honor her instincts. Within a few years, Lofaso rose to the top of Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In the following years, she worked alongside many celebrities, while transforming various Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso joined forces with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar Black Market Liquor Bar, the first bar to open situated in Studio City. With Black Market and the business collaborations she set up, she found an appropriate new home. Lofaso was able to enjoy the freedom to be creative that she desired through this collaboration. Black Market's intention is not to limit itself in any way. The first course could be dill chips, then shishitos peppers. Then comes an Korean Wing, and lastly a meatball course. What binds this diverse variety of tastes is Antonia. Lofaso's success has been measured by her capacity to stay honest with herself, while being able to comprehend her audience. Apart from her memorable performance in Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars, her uniqueness was also celebrated outside of the kitchen. She is still awe-inspiring on the screen, as judge on CNBC judge as well as a regular role on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso teamed-up in partnership with Penguin Publishing to create The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 recipes of easy, Delicious, Home Cooked Meals. In this book, she discusses her experience as a mother and a pupil at The French Culinary Institute. Lofaso states that her love in cooking is the primary for her accomplishments. She continues to be in the know by keeping an eye on trends and fashion. Chefletics transforms the way chefs dress by blending style with function.
